Vintage VDB 2013 Review

The Erfurt factory vintage VDB is launching a new model, the VDB 2013 in time at the turn of the year and thus continues the tradition of the company. This year’s collection will include a total of four models. Caliber doing various be assembled depending on the variant, the idea behind the timer remains the same however.

The VDB 2013 seamlessly into the concept of small German manufacturer. The timepiece is simple and reminiscent of the classic diver’s watches and their easy-to-read dials. Also the now vorbestellbaren watch face has a minimalist design. Three block pointers that are coated with Superluminova float above the plain leaves. Two of the clocks also have a fourth pointer that displays a second time zone on the major indices and the engraved minute ring. The screwed Crown which appear clearly prominent and massive 45 mm wide housing is striking. The bezel of the two versions of the GMT is made of a ceramic inlay.

Two works from the family of the ETA function as the heartbeat of the new watch by vintage VDB. While the simple models access on the proven caliber ETA 2824-2, the manufactory in the more complicated GMT models used the caliber ETA 2893-2. Both works characterized by the particular precision and robustness and are therefore widely used. The entire collection is limited to 120 copies and every timepiece is individually numbered, according to watchtutorials. The so-exclusive watches are delivered with a fine leather strap.
